China's Economic, Social and Cultural Impact Due to Globalization
General Program Outline
The program is offered to the CCID member college students as a collaborative effort between the Shanghai Financial University and Beijing Union University (local coordinators in China), CCID (local coordinator in US), and the participating US colleges. 
The students who apply for this program will spend two weeks in the modern bustling Chinese metropolis of Shanghai and the China's capital city Beijing visiting Chinese as well as international businesses and financial institutions.
The objective of the program is to observe the present day China's economic operations, and compare the business mechanisms and culture to that of the U.S. The group may also visit Water region where you will learn about life in the China's countryside.
The program will also incorporate cultural experience through visiting many cultural sites in both cities, tasting local food, attending circus or theater performance, and other activities.

| March 18, 2011 - Payment of program fee is due in-full to qualify for placement in program (Due to timing and flight booking deadlines, a group may need to pay prior to this deadline to receive airtickets. CCID will inform groups accordingly). PASSPORT is required by April 8 in order to receive Visa for travel to China before departure. Students who do not have passport and are serious about participating in the program should apply for new passport even prior to the March payment deadline as the passport processing takes 6 weeks. Same applies to those who need to renew or make any updates to their passports (name change, etc.) |
